As the leader of the Singapore-based medical device company, Carl Freer oversees all marketing activities and helps to develop innovative products. In recent years, Aluminaid has secured patents for a line of revolutionary medical dressings that relieve pain from first- and second-degree burns almost instantly. Under the leadership of Mr. Freer and his fellow executives, the company has protected its intellectual property through a number of international patents and trademarks.
Before taking up his current responsibilities, Carl Freer spent several years as the chairman of FilmFunds, Inc., a networking site for film industry professionals, fans, and financiers. In addition to helping filmmakers access the financing necessary to make their films, FilmFunds connects fans with their favorite movies. Under the strategic guidance of Mr. Freer, FilmFunds oversaw amongst many others, a highly successful social marketing campaign for the Academy Award-winning film The Artist. Earlier in his career, Mr. Freer co-founded a mobile search application, which utilized innovative technology such as augmented reality, vision recognition and voice recognition. He played an integral role in all aspects of product promotion and brand integration, helping to develop the technologies SDK for the Apple iPhone, Android, BlackBerry, and more. As a major contributor to the zoological society Nordens Ark, Carl Freer also serves as the chairman of the Freer Family Tree Foundation. |
